One month after the big debut weekend for HQ Nightclub, EMM and Angel are already pulling out all the stops. Sunday, August 5, world renowned, Grammy-nominated DJ AVICII will be performing an exclusive, sold out set in the entertainment destination.

AVICII is a 22 year old Swedish DJ who is easily one of the most in demand music artists across North America. He creates the most unique and dance worthy electronic beats and has worked with other industry big-names like David Guetta and Tiesto. This is perhaps the biggest year yet for AVICII. Not only did he just wrap up his North American tour “Le7els” but he is releasing his debut album and headlining Lollapalooza, an event that showcases only the best artists before a whopping 50,000 fans.

Performing at HQ Nightclub, Revel’s brand new, 40,000-square-foot venue, is another huge milestone for the talented 22 year old. The resort is the biggest in Atlantic City, featuring more than 1,800 rooms, ocean front views, a 32,000 square foot spa, 14 restaurants and the best nightlife entertainment in town. HQ Nightclub has a lot of buzz surrounding it. It is Mark Birnbaum‘s largest business venture yet in EMM Group and is extravagant in all the right ways. AVICII will be the first to perform in the custom-made DJ booth that features a suspended performance stage set right above.

EMM Group Venue 199 Bowery Under Construction

EMM Group has begun substantial renovations on their newest venue space, located at 199 Bowery in Manhattan. Nearly a year in the works, the jaw-dropping 20,000 square foot restaurant-nightclub-bakery-jazz club is getting a major overhaul for its big debut this fall. EMM Group owners Mark Birnbaum, Eugene Remm and Michael Hirtenstein sure know how to keep a secret. Since renovations began, the colossal space has been hidden behind extravagant Monopoly mural plywood.

As we learned back in June, Travis Bass will be working with Birnbaum, Remm and Hirtenstein to oversee all operations within 199 Bowery’s nightclub space. Bass has years of experience managing nightlife in Manhattan and will be responsible for booking the best DJs and top performers for 199 Bowery.

Construction is under way and coming along at a rapid pace. First glimpse photos show men actively renovating the venue.

“This is an amazing opportunity for us,” Eugene Remm commented. “This is an opportunity to come downtown, to do something that has a little edge. We are looking to be creative, to do something outside the box.”

The popular eatery offers classic American dishes, meant to remind one of a home-cooked meal. Mark Birnbaum created the perfect restaurant by incorporating rich décor, impeccable service, and unforgettable food. Abe & Arthur’s features familiar menu items like fish tacos, steak, crab cakes, grilled pork loins and more.

EMM Group partner and business entrepreneur Michael Hirtenstein married his longtime girlfriend Christina Hale last weekend in an extravagant ceremony fit for a king and queen. The nuptials called for a big EMM Group celebration. Michael Hirtenstein, Mark Birnbaum and Eugene Remm had a chance to sit back and enjoy the festivities for once, a nice change from being the gurus in charge of planning and overseeing the party.

The wedding included more than 80 close friends and family and was held at a picture-perfect waterfront villa in Cap d’Ail, close to Monaco. The evening included a lavish dinner accompanied by a 45 minute performance by David Gray. The weekend also included performances by DJ Chachi, and the Gypsy Queens. Guests danced until sunrise, swam in a historic, picturesque pool that features 100 year old stone pillars, and enjoyed the private yacht party that Hirtenstein had arranged. The wedding was a three day celebration and Mark Birnbaum, Eugene Remm, along with the groom himself, Michael Hirtenstein, were all seen having an unforgettable time.

Rumer Willis was spotted dining at Mark Birnbaum’s restaurant Abe & Arthur’s last Thursday in celebration of her 24th birthday. Joining her were her sisters Tallulah and Scout and very famous father, Bruce Willis. The intimate party included a very relaxed dinner followed by Bruce Willis singing “Happy Birthday” to Rumer as she blew out her birthday candles. Later in the evening, the birthday girl and friends retreated downstairs to EMM Group’s unmistakably popular nightclub, SL.

The big celebrity spotting of the weekend was Pippa Middleton seen dining at the New York City hot spot where she and two friends sipped on white wine and feasted on chef Hung Huynh’s rice cakes, crispy shrimp, catch roll, hellfire roll, salmon carpaccio and scallop dumplings.
